It is with deep sadness that we say farewell to two of our cousins, brutally taken in a car crash. Tom Carlaw Forrester and his wife, Christine Hamilton Lowery, were each extremely talented people in many fields. Retirement for them was the golden opportunity to enjoy their interests in arts, crafts, photography, needlework and so much more. They lived in the small town of Mount Albert, Ontario and both were active in local affairs. Tom used exotic woods to make spindles which were sold world-wide. Some of Tina’s nature photos can be seen at http://www.eastgwillimburywow.blogspot.com/
We drove Rte 15 to Rochester, NY and met up with Tom’s two sisters and next day, braving a near white-out blizzard, continued to Mount Albert, where we met his daughter and Tina’s daughters, other cousins and about 200 residents who came to remember Tom & Tina. The drive home was on one of those unexpected spring days, warm breezes and blue skies, a welcome antidote to the sadness of the weekend.
